This book is an excellent introduction to italian cooking. In the front their is a brief chapter on the basics of the italian store cupboard i.e. which olive oil to use for which dish, which herbs are best dried or fresh, different types of pasta for different dishes. (Fortunately the italian store cupboard does not require tonnes of different ingredients you might never use again). The recipes seem to be authentic and everything is done as it would be in Italy. All the recipes are in four to five steps. Details are given about how many people they serve. The index is clear. The book had a durable wipe clean cover. The book is illustrated throughout with beautiful photographs of each recipe. Although the recipes are easy, unfortunately some aren't always that quick. The recipes are straightforward and taste delicious. This is one of my favourite cookbooks. I would highly recommend it. It has plenty to offer vegetarians too.
