This is the book that I ALWAYS get new knitting parents and grandparents to buy. It has a clear consise how to section with good photos.
There is the obligatory baby scarf (I don't understand why they have one in a baby book). There is a pair of bootees/socks knitted on two needles without any picking up of stitches and only one seam to sew up.

I have great success with this with new knitters. All the yarns are easily substituted is unavailable in your area.The patterns are fairly basic but do wonders for installing confidence to new knitters

I haven't knitted since my early teens but during my second pregnancy I wanted a nice relaxing craft I could take with me to work in the shop or in front of the TV. at night.
This book was really easy to follow with lovley inspirational photos and patterns with which you can get very quick and satisfying results. You don't have to use the same yarns the author suggests to get good results. Within a month I had made several of the items in the book and develpoped the confidence to on to more complicated stitches and clothing items for older children. I will be dipping in to it again and again and recomend it as a good start for any would be knitter who wants to teach themselves to knit.

Just started knitting and i love this book, easy to follow step by step instructions and simple but pretty things to try. I'm looking forward to trying them all!
