Ordered the East Coast Clara Dresser in White to have as a change unit downstairs when baby no. 2 arrives. My first son is 2yrs old and while still in nappies - I usually change him upstairs or on the couch. The details for the dresser say it's for up to 12 months - this I think is more to do with safety than with 'load bearing'. I am already changing my son on the dresser and it's just great. He knows it's for the new baby but also delighted that it's for him. It arrived in excellent condition - and well packaged. My husband put it together with my son. Yes, the 2 year old helped and he was well able. Only one tool - an allen key was needed and I think that was supplied. My son really enjoyed putting it together with his dad. They both wore their 'bob the builder' hard hats and my son had his tool box out. It may have took them 40 minutes to put it together but as I said - with my 2 year old helping - we took our time and let him place the little dowels in, the screws and nuts. I bought a mamas and papas change mat for it - and while it's about 1-2cm's too long - it has a pillow effect at top which works fine with edge of dresser. I tried a standard mat I have from Mothercare but doesn't fit as well. Plenty of storage space underneath. Bought some lovely baskets in Aldi to hold nappies, wipes etc and works great. Can't say I've used the towel rail yet but great to have it as an option. I have a mamas and papas cot tidy that I might hang off towel rail instead of towel. That's it. Would highly recommend unit.
