For some reason, Earthquake Dub isn't identified here as one of the many splendid classic dub collections issued by the Revolutionaries. Well it is, and that's an adequate enough reason for many dubheads to check it out.

This 2005 expanded Cooking Vinyl reissue provides 55 minutes of the Revs' characteristically spacious rhythms and swelling echoes. It's always advisable to play dub albums at fairly high volume - if you treat the sometimes rather aged & muffled productions found on many as "background music" you'll lose the meditative power and beauty of the genre!

So give Fletcher's Land, Secret Agent, Black Diamond Rock and the rest some industrial volume to let the bass truly breathe. Let it roll through River Bank & its great Version onto the great false start of Hog Head, with its dubbing horn fanfare and clipped vocals inserts - the extra tracks are good added value.

As the other reviewer advises, horns swirl in and out of the mix, with pulsing bass & stepping drums driving ever on to Zion.

This is a quality set of Dubs from Channel One studio from the golden era of Roots Reggae.
Some huge Rockers riddims of the era given the Channel One Dubwise treatment, definately worth buying if this is your bag !!!
