Yes, we can all mourn the loss of the polka dots and other two Pipettes from the debut album, but things have moved on, as any biography will tell you. If you loved the catchy pop of the debut album, I see little reason for you not to take this album to your heart too. It feels more like another debut rather than a follow-up album because of the many changes, but the all-killer-no-filler pop is still there, with verses that are as loveable as the choruses. This album cheekily ends with the lyric, 'go right back to the start', which is what I can't help doing each time it finishes. It's the catchy tunes, pretty vocals and pop-disco sound that makes me press play again and again. It's an album that's been worth the wait. Good luck to the new-look Pipettes, and good riddance to the tedium of line-up changes. Buy it because you're worth it and you'll get your money's worth from repeated plays. Thanks for reading.
