Brilliant Book 9 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback
I bought this book as background reading for an open university geology course and I have to say I haven't been able to put it down. The text is clear and well explained and the pictures are fantastic. It's a heavy scientific book but everything is well explained and easy to locate and the google earth tours really make it come alive. I would recommend this to anyone with the slightest interest in our planet and geology. The only critisicm I can levy is that I don't like the paper its printed on, quite flimsy and 'glossy' which creases easily. However worth every penny.

Fantastic book!

If you are interested in, or are studying geology or you just want to know more about the plant then this is a "must read". I have rarely come across a technical book that is so well structured, organised and readable. This should be a gold standard for anyone aiming to describe any technical subject.

Note that the associated website contains lots of goodies as well.
