Format: Audio CD
The search for the perfect blend of atmospheric female vocal and slow, aching guitar has been a long and tortuous one. In the 80's the shoegazers came along and The Pale Saints lp contained an outstanding song, Fell From The Sun, which led me to track down it's origin here. Listen to that and the gorgeous Harriet Brown and you may well be convinced, as I was, that you've found something special. This album is unlike the heavier, less focussed, Happy Nightmare Baby by the same band but it's a shining example of cool and beautiful music.

Mazzy Star Fans Stop Here! 5 Aug. 2004
By E. Wages - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is a phenominal album! Opal is like Mazzy Star with Kendra Smith singing instead of Hope Sandoval. If you like the soothing, other-wordly melodies and sweet feminine voice of Mazzy Star, check out Opal with Kendra Smith! 'Brigit on Sunday' and 'My Only Friend' alone make this album worth whatever ridiculous used price the seller is charging
