This album is the musical version of Irelands greatest product " pure genius" from a nation that has produced many acoustic/folk/rock legends they may well have another in the making . The vocal ability of James is distintive and addicitive after many listens all the songs become favorites , but the track "we dont eat" has it all with regard to to what James is about . Like any new artist the urge to compare to similar artists from the same genre is hard not to do,but his voice does make him different/unique and his musical ability matches and betters many of the established.
Worth a listen or 10 and im sure the music according to James Vincent McMorrow will be be spread far and wide

Stumbled across James Vincent McMorrow whilst watching a Grey's Anatomy episode. Fell in love with the featured song (in the woods!!)
immediately. Had to learn, it's a bit difficult to purchase his music (here in Germany) :)
James' music is like china: fragile with a striking robustness in the daily use whilst keeping precious goods within.
I wish James all the best for his career.

Bought on a whim but what a find!

A simple, but beautiful voice, with such emotion and character. I loved listening to this from start to finish, and it's still on my playlist.

First heard McMorrow on Grey's Anatomy and instantly fell in love with the song "From the Woods!!". The rest of the album is equally good. Read more
