Having looked at various different activity cubes I chose this for my daughter (youngest of 5 children) mainly as I've always been impressed with the quality and durability of ELC toys. This was very disappointing as after being played with less than 5 times the cube split at the sides to form 2 pieces (the lid being separate) with dowels and glue poking out where the wood should obviously remained joined. I had to return it as it was not safe to be played with. Am currently looking for a more durable replacement.
