These are just about adequate as a replacement for the original Bose ear pads. They fit fine on the headphones, but are substantially less padded than the Bose version. Whilst this gives them a slimmer profile that some may prefer, they are far less comfortable when worn for extended periods such as long-haul flights. I use my headphones for about 2 hours per day for the commute to/from work, and for regular long distance travel, so these are not really right for my needs. I will be ordering genuine replacements from a Bose dealer.

this is just to say my old Bose ear pads were worn away with black bits dropping off and making a mess all over the place. i looked around the Internet and finished up buying the replacement pads as advertised on amazon, the old ones pulled off and the new ones snapped on and fit just fine i give these pads 5 stars they are very comfortable plus i am hoping they wear better than the genuine Bose pads

These where easy to fit and looked the part but unfortunately caused my head phones to hum in the left ear. I tried removing the left pad and fitting it several times as well as swapping with the new pad from the right but always the same result.
I couldn't see anything really wrong, although the plastic mounting plate was a slightly different design so removed the covering from the pad and used it with the old plastic mount & foam which did fix the hum.
I can only assume the mount design isn't quite right, but why it only seemed to effect the left hand side even when swapped round I don't know.
All in all they work, but having to use part of the old component which they are meant to replace isn't ideal.
