After Pablito, Carlos and Nestor, don Juan and Genero jump into the abyss. Carlos finds himself alone without the guide and instruction from his former Nagual. Carlos is pulled by certain forces that have been placed within him through the teachings on don Juan to visit his aquantancies Pablito, Nestor and La Gorda.

Through various acts of dreaming, stalking and seeing they realize that Carlos is the new Nagual and under his leadership and insight he will guide them to lose their bodily form so that the new Nagual group will be able to enter into the abyss just like their previous Nagual don Juan.

Along the path Carlos must keep his group together, using all the teachings that he has learnt and through his inturpretations of the rules. The members of his group are four women from the four directions of the wind and three men who are the couriers, the group needs to grow, together and with others including the Nagual women and so new Nagual group lead by Carlos sets out on an impeccable path to find the missing members to become one.
