Amazon.co.uk Review

Eager Little Beaver is a first-class hardback storybook has been written by Joan Stimson and illustrated by Meg Rutherford, a celebrated duo who have received wide acclaim for their previous books. It is one of a collection written about animals; this time about Biff the Beaver, who wants to be exciting so goes off in search of action and adventure by trying to be a dragonfly, a cygnet and a bear. When things go wrong, Mum and Dad come to the rescue. After a while he enjoys being a beaver and when their home gets damaged in a storm, he is able to be of use and help, as only beavers can, by rebuilding. He finds he's a natural-born builder and becomes content at last to be himself, something which could be a lesson to many humans.

The story conveys real meaning using wonderfully simple language and is aimed at small children. The illustrations are lifelike, beautifully executed and really make the story come alive.--Susan Naylor --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

Biff the Beaver wants to be daring and different. He wants action and adventure. He tells his parents that he doesn't want to be a beaver anymore. Then, one day, when things go badly wrong, Biff has to make use of all his beavery skills and he realizes the best thing is to be himself.

A lovely little book 15 Nov 2006
By Angular
Format:Hardcover
The story of an adventurous little beaver who, like many imaginative kids, isn't quite content with being just who he is. It's a perfect bedtime story for any child who loves cute, furry animals. Sweet without being too cloying.
