We've had one of these for a couple of months, and some of the comments in other reviews are true - the poles and balls don't stay together very well if your structure is not well thought out to give strength and support where needed. We did also break one of the red poles on day one - but since then no more accidents! My 6-year old loves to build forts, helicopters, dens, and other crazy contraptions with me. I find it brings out his creativity and we plan together how to go about building his ideas, which tests and improves his logical thinking. There are plenty of poles and balls which alow us to make some fancy structures! His 2 year old sister loves it too and fills his finished dens with piles of cuddly toys!

So you have the yellow ball multi socket corners and the red and blue rods. The info inside recommends you put Sellotape round the ends of the rods to keep them in the sockets. Ok so time consuming to do and then it still doesn't stay together. The sockets push up the Sellotape so the children pull it off again and the whole thing collapses.

In the box comes details of a higher priced version which has a different connector. Looks loads better.

My almost 4 year old Son got this kit for Christmas this year. We had such high hopes and he loves the idea but every single time we get it out, it all ends in tears and frustrations.

The poles pop out of the connecting balls at the slightest knock no matter how firmly they are pushed in, so during play, the framework is constantly falling apart and having to be rebuilt. This means that there is no way I can leave him to play alone with it as he just ends up frustrated and in tears as his fort/car/boat/rocket etc is constantly falling down around his ears.

We've had it for just over a month now and pretty soon, I'll be relagating it to the garage to keep it out of sight and mind. I just can't bear playing with it anymore.

Bought this for my nephews, they absolutely loved playing with it, it's a little bit flimsey but for the price is fair.

My son loves it. Pity the sticks and balls do tend to fall apart a little. I haven't tried the suggestion of adding tape to the connections yet though.

I think its great for play.

My four year old was so excited when he opened this present, but unfortunately on the first outing 3 of the blue rods snapped.
Next time he had it out 2 of them snapped.
It's a great idea, but not sturdy enough.
I'm surprised that more people haven't posted about pieces snapping as my son is not particularly clumsy and he is light and skinny.

I bought this for my 6 and 2 year olds. They were very excited but soon gave up when the poles kept coming out of the balls and the structures would collapse on them. We couldn't even drape sheets over the structure to make a den as the poles and joints were not strong enough. I have now packed it away and will be asking for my money back.

After reading the reviews i decided to make sure that when the poles were connected everyone knew to only apply pressure to the end of the pole thats closest to the connector its been connected to. This worked, we had no snapped poles. I think its when people apply pressure to the middle of the pole or the opposite end that they break as they are not the strongest of poles. They did fall out quite easily so im going to buy a load of blu tack to stick in the connector holes to help the poles sit more snuggly. My kids are having loads of fun with this set, im going to buy another one so they can build bigger structures. We also brought a camflouge netting to put over it and found that it holds the weight of the net with no problem.
