Product Description

Synopsis

EZ-101 Accounting covers nearly 100 topics, starting with the definition of accounting, describing the accounting equation, and showing how to record transactions, determine assets and liabilities, profit and loss, and much more. For more than a decade, titles in this handy, quick-study series have helped many college freshmen and others taking introductory 101-level college courses. Designed to be compatible with virtually all standard textbooks in their target subjects, EZ-101 Study Keys outline and organize subject material so that it resembles classroom lecture notes taken by the most highly attentive students. As such, these books provide a general overview of course material, and are ideal for students' brush-up and review study sessions before taking examinations or writing class papers.

Useful in a limited way 18 Mar 2009

This is a decent supplement to an introductory accounting class. It covers the very basics. For the price (I got it for $2) it was well worth it.

Great resource 25 Feb 2009

I ordered this book some years ago, and to this day I still refer to it to refresh with topics I vaguely recall. It provides a great summary of the basic accounting foundations.

Good reference for a basic financial accounting review 28 Jan 2008
By Jaewoo Kim - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is not a good book to learn basic accounting. It skims over too many minor details. But it is an excellent source to review basic financial accounting principals.

It has been over a decade since I had taken my last accounting class. So my knowledge of even rudimentry accounting principal was rusty. But this book allowed me to refresh my accounting knowledge (which luckily still existed in my brain) in a day.

If you are looking for a book to help refresh your basic accounting knowledge in order to fill out a general ledger, then this book should not be skipped. But I do not recommend this book to those who do not have previous knowledge of accounting since it lacks detailed explanation neccessary as to why, when, and how.
