Lovely photos and some cool ideas if you would like to add some excitement to your game. Be warned that some of the courses will need you to re-mortgage if you want to play them, but something to aspire to. Great gift.

Though a truly original book, it enshrines the spirit of the game of golf, the game where man pits his human skills against the environment. In Extreme Golf, Duncan Lennard shows how golf is played all over the world in the most fantastic conditions, whether in the mountains of La Paz in Bolivia, the inhospitable war zone of Kabul, amongst sand and mountains, the volcanic regions of Hawaii or the desert of Dubai, amongst other places. There are superb photographs showing the flora, fauna and animal life of these exotic regions as well as the unusual dress of the players fighting snow or sand. In a lucid readable writing style the author also includes many fascinating historical as well as sociological and geographical details of the places he includes. This is a book which should be read by every golfer and may also be enjoyed by many other who have never picked up a golf club.Murder in a Surrey Tribe: 1

A fun browsing present for a golfer of your acquaintance, although I prefer the full-size version to this mini one.

Teenage nephew just starting golf and everybody was buying something in this line for him.

Saw this and as he is an avid reader thought this would suit.

He was delighted .

Well packaged and great delivery

Really fascinating book. A snowbound UK provoked plenty of frustrated feelings from golfers but this book showed that some courses are snowbound all year and still playable!
A salutary lesson for fair weather players!
