Another great collection of images for anyone interested in digital fantasy art. At the time of writing, there is no 'search inside' facility for this (or the other) exotique books, but you can search inside this and the other books in the series on the publisher's website.

This is the latest installment from Ballistic Press of CG artwork. Once again, artists from all over the world submitted their CG characters and the best have landed in this issue. Some artists are featured in small articles about which programs they have used to create their works. It is mostly all about the full page artwork though.
The pictures are amazing in detail and one has to wonder how they are able to create such life like images on the computer. I have the first Exotique, and the artwork keeps getting better and better.
I would recommend this book to aspiring computer graphic artists, and also to those who just like the art from video and fantasy games.

Nice artbook but feels repetitive

I really like the Exotique series, but I think this is the last one I will buy from this series of books. This is because Ballistic Publishing has a habit of featuring the same artist that were in the previous books. If you look at the entires on the site, you will see a variety of styles that were submited but not selected for the book. If you are looking for something with a little more variety, I suggest purchasing Expose from Ballistic Publishing or a book from the Spectrum series. But if you want to see the works of specific artist, like Mario Wibisono, then this is more for you.
