Well, this is hardly a masterwork of carpentry; properly motivated, I could probably have made something similar in my high school shop class. But it was the only curio shelf I saw in the right size and color made with actual wood, real glass shelves and a glass front in this price range. Be prepared to get high off the paint fumes this thing will throw off for several days, and don't expect the parts to fit together quite right. Still, assembly was a snap, and it looks far better on the wall holding my snowglobe collection than it felt when I was assembling it. "Looks better than it has any right to" is not really a vote of confidence, but ultimately I'm more or less satisfied with my purchase. Then again, the fact that I needed a curio cabinet to house my 45 tacky snowglobes might be an indication of faulty taste.
