Sorry, I can't answer that question with any confidence. I actually purchased the "nano" EW-7811UN, but I doubt there would be a problem, after all that's what they are all designed to do! My 7811 worked out-of-the-box with various Linux distros in conjunction with a D-Link N150 ADSL2+ router.

I actually purchased the nano adaptor but this has worked with any router I have tried it with including a Netgear so no reason I can see that this won't work.

I have a pair of these, they both work fine with my Dataflex M2M Hera (a/b/g) 2.4GHz , BT Home Hub 4 (b/g/n) 2.4 +5GHz and my Asus RT-AC68U (b/g/n/ac) 2.4 +5GHz.
So I wouldn't expect you to have any issues with your NetGear.

I have also used it with Win 7, Win 8, Win 8.1, Debian, XUbuntu and CentOS without much trouble. Although for best performance you will need to download the drivers from the website otherwise it will usually only connect on 2.4GHz and not 5GHz
