Product Description

Product Description

Fast just got faster with the next-generation EVGA GeForce GTX 770, a high-performance graphics card designed from the ground up to deliver high-speed, super-smooth gaming.

EVGA is also introducing a brand new cooling design; the redefining EVGA ACX Cooler. With a 40% increase in heatsink volume, the EVGA ACX is more efficient at dissipating heat, allowing for 15% lower GPU temperatures. A reinforcement baseplate maintains a straight PCB, and helps lower mosfet temperatures by 7% and memory by 15%.

Even the fan blades are of the highest quality; with a 700% increase in strength, and 25% lower weight when compared to competitors. This makes the fans 20% more efficient by requiring lower power levels. EVGA is also using double ball bearing fans which offer a 12 year lifespan, 4X longer when compared to competitors!

Industry leading NVIDIA SLI technology offers amazing performance scaling by implementing AFR (Alternate-Frame-Rendering) for the world's premier gaming solution under Windows 7 with solid, state-of-the-art-drivers.

Support for NVIDIA 3D Vision, bringing a fully immersive stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. In addition, you can stream 3D movies and 3D digital photographics cfrom 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

Designed for the new PCI Express 3.0 bus architecture offering the highest data transfer speeds for the most bandwidth-hungry games and 3D applications, while maintaining backwards compatibility with existing PCI Express motherboards for the broadest support.

I have been running two AMD HD 7870's in crossfirex for the last 6 months, and was getting a bit sick of random crashes and glitchy behaviour, so wanted to get a single high end GPU. After reading a lot of reviews, with some trepidation, i plumped for this card from Nvidias top partner. It is a wee bit more expensive than other factory overclocked cards, but the cooler on this thing is pretty amazing. I won't go into benchmark scores that i have achieved with this card, as they are quite subjective due to other hardware on your PC, but it is safe to say that it scores really well. Battlefield 3 is a complete joy to play now, no random tics or tearing and Vsynced rock steady at 60fps. In fact, all my current generation games run beautifully with this card at ultra type settings (Not tried Crysis 3 yet, but don't expect any issues).
As for noise levels, the card is quiet, and doesn't seem to spool up in an aggressive way as some fans do. The Active Cooling Xtreme seems to keep it all running cool too, i never got it above 75c while stress testing the card at 1188 MHz, which seems to be what the real boost level is on mine. The included tweaking/monitoring software is quite nice, though i have not played about with the settings as yet.
I know some people may prefer the reference cooler, which is the same as the one on the Titan, but the black and copper of this card look super nice in my opinion.
Oh, and if you buy before the 31st of July 2013, you can pop onto the EVGA website, register the product and get a free EVGA backplate. Sent worldwide.

So to sum up, very fast card, nice and quiet with a good cooling solution. I love it.

For me being someone who has been using a GTX 550 Ti graphics card for the last three years, this upgrade was the biggest I've ever made and it really showed.
Before being unable to play games like Shadow Warrior at Ultra settings, not even able to keep a steadyish 30fps.
Now I can play Shadow Warrior at Ultra settings and be also able to turn on vsync with triple buffering, never dipping below 60fps.

The card is really good for the price, its not too loud bar some coil whine. Overall the card runs fantastic and is probably the best choice out on the market at the moment.
You don't need a GTX 780 Ti or an R9 290x, this card will provide you all the power you need for 1080p 60fps gaming.

This card performs reasonably close to the top-end but for hundreds of £ less. Arrived promptly. The only wrinkle for me was that the card needs a 6 pin and an 8 pin connector. Finding an 8 pin was a bit of a struggle till I located one in the original power supply box I got with my pc. I believe that many pc's are fitted with 6/8 pin connectors where the additional 2 pins to go from 6 to 8 are folded away or are on a separate lead. My pc was a bespoke build so this wasn't the case for me. Check your lead availability before purchasing.

I could not be happier!

The GTX 770 is one hell of a card for the money. There is no game i can not max out at 1080p and maintain 60fps. Even the most demanding games like crisis and Metro run at around 40fps or 60 with AA turned off. Very impressive considering it's price.

The ACX cooler is an excellent cooler. At idle it stays around 35-40C on a hot day. When bench marking it reaches a maximum of around 85C. If you are uncomfortable with this you can easily set a temperature target in EVGA Precision X to your liking.

The cooler is quite loud when under load. While wearing open ear headphones I can hear it in the background in silent sections which does kill the immersion somewhat. However, this can be easily fixed using Precision X by setting a fan curve. I have it set so it doesn't get above 60% unless it exceeds 80C which is absolutely fine.

Setting a fan curve doesn't void the warranty either as GPU boost actually sets the GPU's clock speed according to the temperature the card is running at. As long as you don't over volt your card it should be absolutely fine.

All in all, an absolutely amazing card for 1080p gaming and an amazing value at that. I would recommend this card over the 760 any day and is a better value than the 780 or 780 ti in my opinion.

Bought to replace a GTX 640, which was getting on a bit.

Noticed:

Much quiter than the 640, as well as an old PNY I used a while ago. The fans in this are what I would define as silent (in parallel with my Cooler Master lump on an AMD FX8350, I barely notice the PC is even switched on).

Runs all games I play (DotA2, WoW mostly) on full graphics settings, looks absolutely amazing even over DVI to VGA adapter, as well as over HDMI. Can't complain.

Lots of mention of whining, none noticed at all. Suspect it may be related to oscillation between fans on those who do mention it, if you get it try swapping out your cooler
