Product Description

Product Description

The EVGA GeForce GTX 780 marks an evolution in gaming performance – an insanely fast, smooth, and whisper-quiet experience, every time. EVGA is also introducing a brand new cooling design; the redefining EVGA ACX Cooler. With a 40% increase in heatsink volume, the EVGA ACX is more efficient at dissipating heat, allowing for 15% lower GPU temperatures. A reinforcement baseplate maintains a straight PCB, and helps lower mosfet temperatures by 7% and memory by 15%.

Even the fan blades are of the highest quality; with a 700% increase in strength, and 25% lower weight when compared to competitors. This makes the fans 20% more efficient by requiring lower power levels. EVGA is also using double ball bearing fans which offer a 12 year lifespan, 4X longer when compared to competitors!

Industry leading NVIDIA SLI technology offers amazing performance scaling by implementing AFR (Alternate-Frame-Rendering) for the world's premier gaming solution under Windows 7 with solid, state-of-the-art-drivers.

Support for NVIDIA 3D Vision, bringing a fully immersive stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. In addition, you can stream 3D movies and 3D digital photographic from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

Unlocks the power of the GPU's processor cores to accelerate the most demanding tasks such as video transcoding, physics simulation, ray tracing, and more, delivering incredible performance improvements over traditional CPUs.

I have two of these in SLI within a custom built, air-cooled system possessing a Core i7 3770K Overclocked to 4.2Ghz and 16GB of DDR3 RAM at 2400Mhz. I am getting fantastic frame rates in all the top games currently, and the heat output rarely climbs above 70 degrees C, with the cards cooling quickly once the load drops.

As for benchmarking, I am getting a score of 2,689 at an average 106.8 FPS in the Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0. Metro 2033 and Last Light Redux games all run flawlessly at a smooth 60+FPS and everything else that I have tested so far has been very smooth and slick.

I recommend using the supplied EVGA Precision X software to set your preferred fan speeds versus temperature in order to get the sort of cooling that you want, and make sure it always loads on Startup.

This is not a card that you need to overclock, as it is already tweaked. All you need to do is plug these beasties in and enjoy your games in amazingly fluid detail!

Currently I have a GTX660TI which is not that old and considering it's last generation technology - runs most games and applications really well.
I wanted a little bit more out of my graphics card and started looking into buying another 660ti to setup a SLI configuration, I mean why waste a fairly new card right!.
Trawling through YouTube channels seeking advise or looking for others that had done a 660ti SLI - not really any positive feedback, just a few mmm's.
SO having decided to upgrade my graphics I looked at the 700 series and there are some great bargains out there and some really awesome cards. The EVGA 760 is a pretty powerful card and a silent runner - had a great write-up in CUSTOM PC as did the MSI non reference card..
In the end I opted for the GTX780 SC ACX as this card will last me a while and when the time comes to add more power I will buy a second one and SLI them. Having read the reviews these cards really do SLI well together.
Another reason for choosing the non reference EVGA SC ACX card is the fact that there is a three year warranty on the card that stands even if OC'd. BOY does it OC with slick ease.
Pushing all the settings up on on Splinter Cell blacklist I was never below 50-60 FPS and clocked up just below 1200mhz.. Really quiet under load.
SO if anybody wants a cheap 660TI hardly used - gimmee a shout. Personally I recommend getting this card, blow the expense...lol
The new range of Nvidia cards will be out later this year. I think there is a Titan Ultra and a 790. This might bring the 780 down in price...Game-on.

Double the price of the 7870 I had before, but at double the performance I honestly can't complain one bit. At similar benchmarks to the Titan, I can't see me budging from this card at all in the next few years and will probably end up buying another to SLI if possible.

Packaging is minimal but adequate and there are a fair few adapters for the card if you lack the necessary rails on your power supply.

Great card, not too huge and amazing performance gain for just a little more money than the other GTX780 cards in the range.

I bought this card via an Amazon warehouse deal and am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. The build quality is superb as you would expect from EVGA and the factory overclock really makes a noticeable impact on performance (I previously used a stock Asus GTX780 and bought this for SLI) and allows this already capable card to chew through any game at 1080p to the extent that it allows my 144hz monitor to shine. At load the temps never exceed 63c and while not the quietest card it certainly isn't the loudest component in my system.

Probably the best GPU I've owned to date with a long shelf life. Recently purchased as part of a new build and working great placed in my case (Cosair 750D) in combination with the mother board http://amzn.to/1vYVxP2 Fits perfectly and runs like a dream allowing you to configure and run today's most demanding games.
