Firstly I want to say that I am not a gamer. However I have a 22inch monitor with 1920 1080 optimum resolution. This graphics card delivers very well provided your monitor driver is installed. The installation was a bit bothersome 1. DirectX - reboot 2. Install card 3. Java - reboot 4. Product Software - reboot.etc. Your experience may be better. I have a really old machine 2.8Ghz pentium4. My internet and pc experience is fast and crisp probably thanks to the 512mb headroom wich my pc did not have before. No fan so silent. For where I am at in life this card is the ticket.

This card has brought new life to an old pc. I had upgraded an old pc to Windows 7 but the new os did not take kindly to the old 32Mb Nvidia AGP Graphic card so this was the replacement. The pc is not used for gaming or any heavy 3d rendering but it works very well for basic day to day operations and runs surprisingly cool considering the small size of the heat sink. I am using this ins an AGP 4x slot and the info with the card says it will work in 2x slots as well as the specified 8x. Note it will not work in a 1x AGP slot.

It is cheap and adequate enough to use if you're just in need of replacing an old systems graphics card to get that system working again. But it lacks any sort of punch to do something more than give you a screen and using it for light use. I connected it to a Toshiba 32XV505DB 32" LCD TV @ 1080p/60Hz via a DVI-HDMI 5m cable. It was capable of displaying the windows 7 full boot up logo, not the vista low res bar.

System spec I used it in:

CPU: P4 3.2Ghz
Ram: 2GB
Motherboard: IC7-G
Operating System: Windows 7

Replaced an X800XT which was a lot more powerful but sadly it died after a chronic long term battle with dust.

To summarize: Its fine for the price but don't expect to do much more with it then word-processing, checking email and surfing the web.

The title says it all, I suppose. I got the EVGA GF 6200 512MB (at 27% off RRP) to drive a new BenQ GL2460 what I bought from this very same emporium. Good as it was in its heyday, my old GeForce FX5200 128MB with a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 just wouldn't cut it in this new age of super-flat and very wide.

How's this for ironic: I diligently uninstall the old card's drivers before adding the new card, and the next boot of XP starts the wizard that pulls in the new drivers from the CD. Then a day or two later comes 'Patch Tuesday', and Microsoft Update tells me there are even newer drivers available. So my tip would be to save some time by NOT going to the bundled CD in the first instance. Instead, when Windows detects the card and starts the driver installation wizard, just let it go to the internet and pull down the 146MB-or-so update.

Overall, it's a very nice upgrade that's simple to install and darned good value for money. The usual FAST shipping and generally uneventful transaction I've come to expect from Amazon.

my spare computer is an old intel with the dgvr board. it has three pci slots and one agp. it has two gig memory and it has a 2.4 processor. it has onboard graphics. it has two hard drives one is xp and the other is win 7. the windows 7 index score for graphics with the basic onboard video was '1' it was ok for basic computer needs, odd email and a bit of surfing. with the agp gf 6200 card the index graphic score is now .2.9. and this small increase has made a vast difference to the computers speed of opening documents and surfing. drivers are on the nvdia website for downloading for both xp and win 7.there is a driver disc with this card but go to the site for the latest. delivery of card was very quick. i would reccomend this graphics card if like me you have and old basic spare machine with an agp slot and want to squeeze a little more life from it.

Replacing a blown card, works well enough and without extra power connectors. Would prefer if you could get old AGP cards a little cheaper but that's the way of life.

I installed this product in an effort to force windows 8.1 into my old Dell which runs XP.
I was unsuccessful, but this was due to the rest of the computer, and no fault of the card which improved the graphics to an astonishing level for such an old machine. I wish that I'd put this card or one like it in years ago.

I used this to replace an old Geforce 5600 videocard which had a duff fan. This new card is as good or better than the old card, and there is no fan to go wrong or make a noise. So good I bought a second one as a spare for the future.
