Ordered this for a PC build i was doing and i've had no problems with it, it's not a modular unit but that isn't that big a deal and I'm happy with it. Also came with a power cable which is always handy, since some don't.

I bought one of these to replace a lower cost but moderate gaming system PSU (single card GPU)
Cost was a factor in the replacement, but fairly good power output was also needed.

The EVGA is quite nicely made, glossy finish on the unit. It can cope well with high loads and with good energy efficiency.
It's price is a little cheaper than the equivalent Corsair CX model, though quite comparable in most ways (build, cabling and output)

Pros:
+ Well priced for a budget 600w PSU
+ Fairly quiet at mid to low power outputs
+ 80 plus bronze good energy efficiency
+ Over/under voltage, temp protection (this is why it's a good idea to avod the super budget offerings)
+ 3 year warranty

Cons:
- Cables not modular
- Sleeving could be higher quality
- Fan noise more audible at higher wattage output (500w and over)

There is a good selection of connectors, 2x PCIe should be enough for most and length is just fine for even a larger sized case. If you are very fussy with cables in your case you are probably better off with a modular design, but for mainstream users this is a good cost effective solution, and a very decent alternative to the Corsair CX power supplies.

The PSU has been in the PC now for a good few months with no issues at all. If you are a heavy gamer you might want more power for a dual card set up, but for most requirements/moderate gamers this is a really good affordable choice.

Will update the review should any issues arise.

I had a browse around recently for a replacement power supply for a friend as theirs had given up the ghost after a fair few number of years (luckily for them, it hadn't taken anything else with it).
The general rule of thumb is that if you buy a cheap power supply, you have a risk of the thing blowing up or overloading and taking your other components with it. Some people will argue the contrary, stating that they haven't had such experiences but why take the risk? Spend an extra £10-20 and have peace of mind that your PC isn't going to go bang and have to replace the entire thing.
EVGA has been a brand of graphics cards that I have held in high regard for years, though I have never tried their motherboards, power supplies or any other component that they have made. It's not through a lack of trust, rather that I have had flawless experiences with other brands and with stuck with them for their respective components. I digress. Bottom line, EVGA good. Don't take my word for it? Go look up reviews of EVGA products on other websites.

I ordered this particular power supply because in the 500-600W region for a power supply for a reputable company this had an offer on at the time and came out the best bang for the buck; I think that there were one or two 500W for about a pound or two cheaper but, without getting technical, a power supply that has a maximum output greater than your requirements is favoured to allow breathing room.

No disappointments to be had here. I haven't had any devices to measure wattage or voltage but it's a decent brand of power supply and has kept the system stable. I expect it to do so for years to come as well.
If you're buying a non-modular power supply then saying that it's not modular is not a negative. Modular was not needed so it was not purchased in this instance.

My rubbish 600w cheapo non-brand Power Supply which I got awhile back from a different website decided to give up after a year of usage (what did I expect!) and being on a budget I did a large amount of research on what Power Supply to get as a replacement and so it came down to this, the EVGA 600B is quite possibly the best Power Supply for this price range, at the time of purchasing I got it for £43! it is very efficient for its rating and has nearly non-existent ripple, ripple suppression is important when looking for Power Supplies as this essentially determines now "clean" the power running to your computers components is, cleaner power equals a longer, happier life for your components.

For those of you looking for something that is quiet as-well, this Power Supply will not disappoint, even in gaming on quite a power hungry system, the Power Supply definitely can't be heard over something like the graphics card/system fans.

If you're on a budget and are looking for a decent power supply, this is the one to get, these are my specifications if you need an idea on what it is capable of powering:

Intel Core i5-2500k @ 4.4Ghz
8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
Asus Z77 Motherboard
nVidia GTX770 Graphics Card
2x Hard drives, 6 120mm system fans

Hope you find this useful!

I found this power supply to be fairly quiet. It powers my system with ease and the cables were all long enough despite having a full tower NZXT Phantom 630. My system is fx8350, r9270x overclcoked, 8GBP ram, 240GB ssd and 1 tb hdd.

Would happily buy another.
