Handsom black finish and attractive detailing, especially the back. Front dial was not perfectly aligned on mine and it had a very small bend at the end of the second hand. Neither fault instantly obvious and both presumably fixable with minimum effort. The rear window is glass, the front "glass look" acrylic but scratching not an issue due to the flip cover. Seems to keep reasonable time for the short time it's run so far (i.e. one hour). No instructions included, but it's a conventional watch wind/set action and you can see the main spring through the front cover so no problems.
If you consider it as a piece of costume jewelry, something to bling up a waistcoat for a wedding or "Pirate Party", you will be delighted. As a retirement gift? No. It gets five stars for the quality/price ratio, largely because it is so good looking and so cheap. If you want actual horological perfection, pay more.
