Well guys and girls,

If you're still in two minds about this watch I personally would say go for it. Not only did I place my order 24 hours ago and it showed up this morning, so well done to not only the seller for good service but good god royal mail for finally knowing what first class post is lol.

Arrived in Plastic packaging wrap bag and inside was a black cardboard presentation box that was very well packaged in bauble wrap. So if its not a purchase for yourself you have got a nice little presentation box to wrap it in. Or if like me its going in the too keep for xmas pressies pile in the house, I'm sure I will find something that fits in it.

So to the Strap, at the time of writing this I think there was 5 reviews and a load of questions and everybody was asking about the strap. So here goes, its dark black with that fake creases look stamped in it. Its not the most expensive strap but i will say my opinion is it is a nice leather strap. I used to work for a high-street brand in my early work years on a jewellery counter and I would say we used to sell these type straps for £8-9.99. so to be sticking these on this watch and you lot moaning about it does make me chuckle. Its does not have genuine leather stamped on it but you can feel that it is leather so the strap might have come from somewhere where outside the uk/euro? and like I said it does look good, and i wont be changing my strap like others have done. It does feel secure and goes well with the time piece. hope thats cleared that up for all you asking about the strap.

The time piece. I did read "it glows in the dark" on a review let me clear that up to its just the hands lol. not the whole time piece not even the numbers. The movement is easy to see and is a joy to look at.Read more ›

I am very pleased I brought this watch, I was dubious at first thinking the watch would be poor quality being only £8 however I was pleasently suprised that the watch was such a bargain. The silver face looks more expensive than it is and I was further amazed to find that this watch is GLOW-IN-THE-DARK. If you are considering buying this watch I urge you to, wonderful.

I bought this watch knowing it was not the most expensive time piece, but what happened actually made me laugh !!

Took it out the box, took my old watch off, went to put it on and the strap fell off !! The spindle detached itself from the body of the watch and the watch hit the desk. I managed to get the strap back on with a bit of fiddling. Looks good on the wrist, sorted I thought.

About 4 hours later, getting out of the car and the strap falls off again, spindle nowhere to be seen, and one redundant watch on the floor.

I had read varying reports about the quality of the strap, but expected it to do what it was supposed to, namely stay on my wrist !!

Awaiting a response from the supplier but beware, I do not normally write reviews, but thought you should all know what may happen.

Maybe £15 is not that expensive, but I was a little disappointed.

This was given to me as a birthday present and I must say overall very impressive for the price. the only thing that does let it down is the strap, that looks and feels very cheap which is a bit of a let down for what other wise is a very nice purchase,I'm having a different one fitted which will hopefully make me this my new favourite watch . for the price a definite winner despite its less then brilliant strap.

This watch does what I expected to do. And is reasonable value for money. It was a present for my 81 year old father. He has a fascination with watches. This was just the curiosity to amuse him. So far it has kept good time and survived him taking it on an off to show other curious oldies and youngsters. No problems.

ok i had on of these for two years, thats a long time for a £15 watch. i loved it the whole time and had no issues. one day when the clock changed the minute hand moved but the hour hand didn't for a bit so the hands went out of sync. that meant the hour hand would only get to the hour while the minute hand was at twenty five past. it got really annoying. so i bit the bullet and got a new one and well as of yet no problems. this one is so slightly different is says ess on the front and says it was made in china unlike the other one that said it was swiss!?!? but i don't care I'm not a racist! so yeah I'm not ruling out the fact that this could break some time soon and not be as good as the last one as it is different but heres hoping. will update if this happens. (if you want to hear what i felt about my last one find the review from two years ago entitled i could watch this watch for days)

Hi!

I have brought this watch, and I would like to start with the good:
*Easy to see balance spring.
*Does not feel fragile
*Very good deal
*Looks cool.

However, as with nearly everything, it has a downside:
*Leather band is a bit weak (replaced it with metal band.

Also, because of the design, it is a bit difficult to see the escapement.

Overall, a good watch, if you like mechanical/winding watches.
