Right third time lucky.
I tried the gel case that has no front, still use that, it has grown on me, see my review.
I am returning the Terrapin.
This neoprene case is good, it is not a SE product, but, it fully covers the phone, is Velcro-ed shut, so virtually zero chance of phone getting out, is soft and protective, just don't sit on it! I presume being neoprene will offer a little protection from the elements, and most importantly, the Arc fits perfectly.
Unless someone finds a better case for the Arc, this is the one.

As others have said, this is a nice little case that fits the Arc well and will stop my phone getting scratched in my bag. Great value for money, and the velcro flap keeps the phone safe. Would definitely recommend this case.

Best Protection for Arc S
The phone fits` very well and is cloded in so it wont drop. May not protect the phone from a hard fall, as it does not have much in terms of cushioning. Read more

case is a universal case
I am only giving this case 3 stars as I purchaced if spacificly for the Xperia Arc and it miles to big I beleive this same case is sold for most phones,

One solution but is it the best ...
Just as described, a neoprene case, with a pull over top secured by Velcro. The top has a tape sewn round the edge. It's not that well made and doesn't look great. Read more

Not so stylish, but great protection
Soft case protects the 'phone, great for running and cycling and also when dropped in my laptop bag. Shame it doesn't look so good, but still well worth it.
