1.0 out of 5 stars WOW! MOST FRUSTRATING PRINTER! 25 Nov 2008
I purchased this printer about 3 weeks ago for black text printing only. I have had to change the ink cartridge twice now, both with extreme difficulty. I first purchased the regular T0711 cartridge and had to go through the replacement routine a few times before the printer picked up that the ink had been replaced. Since the ink doesn't last that long I bought the high capacity T0711H cartridge as suggested ON THE STICKER ON THE PRINTER and the EPSON website (I bought genuine EPSON ink, not "compatible" cartridge). After spending an hour trying to get the printer to recognize that the cartridge has been replaced, it now says that the cartridge IS NOT COMPATIBLE! Went to online trouble shooting, but the diagnostic will not run, because it my printer is "busy" (probably because the ink light is on but it won't go off until the cartridge is changed..chatch 22!) Also, I have printed about one line total of text in colour (literally only a few words) and all 3 of my colour ink are nearly empty! How can this be possible?? I have never had been so frustrated with a printer. I will try to return it this week, as this is not worth my time! Prior review was dead on..this printer raised my blood pressure!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst printer EVER 9 Feb 2008
I did own an Epson CX6600 which was brilliant. When it stopped working I thought I would replace it with another Epson - WRONG DECISION. I purchased this DX7450 to my error. The inks last no time at all, I am forever changing them after only a few A4 printing jobs. When the ink runs out on any colour, the whole machine stops printing and spits out a half-printed sheet, when the cartridge is replaced it starts printing from where it left off on another sheet, now wasting 2 sheets plus all the ink. It is the worst buy I have ever made.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor, Poor, Poor. 6 Jan 2009
I bought this product a month ago and everytime I use it I die a little inside. Not only is it extremely loud, and ink runs out quicker than Jamacian Legend Usain Bolt.

A poor purchase, please do not buy!

The Scanner is alright though, but you can get many scanners, all-in-one sets, not this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy this printer. 29 July 2008
This is the worst printer I have owned. The ink cartridges last for no time at all. When one colour runs out it stops working even if you want to print in B&W and you have to then replace all the cartridges. It is impossible to actually get to the cartridges as the system to get the printer heads in the right position is so convulted even the manual doesn't know how to get them there. And to top it all the help system loaded itself in Polish and there is no way to amend it back to English.

Do not buy this printer if you have high-blood pressure or want to print anything or don't want to make a big hole in your garden when you throw the useless heap out the window.

1.0 out of 5 stars AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! No stars really ...... 4 Feb 2009
By PenGirl
Having had some brilliant service from older Epson printers, this seemed like a sensible buy. Wrong!!!! It gets through a truly incredible amount of ink, makes as much noise as my Dyson, and nearly shakes my Mac off the table. The cat is terrified of it.

The only possible reason to use this printer would be if you happened to be passing a window and caught it when someone threw it out in frustration. In fact, no - not even then. Let it fly past you and buy something better.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER 23 Jan 2009
It's useless in a word. It drinks ink, stops printing certain colours if you haven't used it for a few days and generally ****s me off. I'll never but another Epson printer. The Brother one we have in the office is much better.
