Product Description

Meet Russell Drysdale, a fifteen-year old boy at a British Boys Public (private) School. The only son of a wealthy industrialist, who died when the boy was eight. However, the man has left his millions to the boy in a trust fund, and he can’t touch it until he is twenty-one.

Brigette Drysdale, the attractive, yet bitter French born mother, who seeks to separate her son from the trust by fair means or foul.

Monksreach Hall, the archaic institution that encourages bullying as a means of discipline, and in which Russell is totally miserable.

The surprise. The morning he wakes up to find he is a girl. Suddenly, life in an all boys’ school is even less attractive, and using the name Emma, the girl runs away, and into a whole new world.
More than capable, she thwarts her mother, and her mother’s vicious boyfriend, the police, and manages to show the world that some girls are the next best thing to angels

5.0 out of 5 stars A Book I can relate too..., 24 Jan 2012
By Just one of the Girls!!! ""Charlene" ... - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: EMMA (Kindle Edition)
The first thing I have to say about this book is how much I relate to the Hero/Heroine Russell/Emma. As a young boy growing up I faced the ridicule and bullying of fellow students from the age of 10 up through my Junior year of High School. Senior year was a little better but I was still miserable.

As a young man growing up I also realized that the bullying wasn't the only reason for my misery. I knew that there was something just not quite right in my life. Then at 12 I figured out what it was. That was the day that my life changed for the better and for the worse. That was the day that I finally felt at peace with who I was. I felt that way because I tried on my first pair of panties, my first bra, and my first dress. The day I dressed as a girl for the first time was the event that turned my life around.

Now enter the story. Russell is bullied and harassed by his classmates, and hated by his mother. His father is dead, and he feels alone and miserable at the private school hell that he is in. It is so bad that he is contemplating Suicide but instead he prays to God to do anything to relieve him of all his pain and humiliation.

The next day, Russell awakens early and heads to the Loo to find that he is no longer Russell but instead is now a girl.

Horrified at first, Russell quickly realizes that his wish was granted, and is determined to get away. He packs up his things and walks out of his school and into the great unknown.

Along the way he runs into people that help mold the new girl into a smart, and deeply compassionate person (to those who need it, anyways).

The best part of this book is how I enjoyed the characters. I loved Mike and Mary as much as Emma Loved them. Gwen was radiant and the way she opened up her school to Emma to achieve her dream was wonderful. The mother and boyfriend were equally and easily despised as much as Emma didn't like them.

I love how Tanya created a free flowing and wonderful story about a boy lost finds his way with a little help from God, and good people.

Also Thank You for giving this me this wonderful story to help tide me over until god grants me my miracle and turns me into the girl I so desperately want to be.... Maybe you could send Emma my way to help me pray correctly....
