What can you say about the music except excellent. The only back thing that can be said about this is the repackaging of the greatest hits album. Yehp you guessed it - this is it.

I bought this CD recently along with "On the 3rd Day" and "Face the Music" in a fit of nostalgia and I must say it is the one I have enjoyed the most. It is a combination of the first two albums and also "Showdown" which surfaced on the third (a personal favourite of John Lennon apparently, as ELO were dubbed the "new Beatles" with their strings enhanced music). The sound is raw and the strings high in the mix especially on tracks like the strident "Battle of Marston Moor". Other standout tracks are the singles "Showdown" and "Mr. Radio", and "Roll over Beethoven" is tremendously exciting. Best of all is the gorgeous "Momma" which hints at great things to come for the Jeff Lynne led ELO.
