This is an excellent introduction to the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is written by Gary Craig, who introduced EFT to the world. The instructions in the book are very repetitive, but the author excuses this by (correctly in my view) stating that repetition is vital to good learning. For those who are unaware of what EFT is, it is an extremely simple method of rebalancing the body's energy, thereby accessing the body's self-healing system. EFT is geared towards emotional healing, but many physical healings come about as a sort of "side-effect". It is based on the premise that emotional problems, often buried in the subconscious mind, are responsible for most mental and physical illness. It may sound like new age claptrap, but I can assure you that it works! In the three weeks or so that I have been using EFT, it has allowed me to release a great deal of anger, has helped me with paranoia (I suffer from a serious mental illness), and has also largely cleared my catarrh problem, which is a side-effect of my medication. It has got rid of a persistent pain I had in my right side, which I believe was an irritable gall-bladder. EFT has also had a beneficial effect on my shoulder injury, which I have had for 15 years. The reason I am listing all these healings, rather than actually speaking about the book itself, is to encourage people reading this review to buy the book, and investigate the almost miraculous healing powers of EFT. One of the maxims I live by is, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". I feel that this maxim goes out of the window, so to speak, when one talks about EFT. It does sound too good to be true, but it really does work, I assure you. Please try it. It could transform your life.
