After studying French at King's College London, Maggie Pearson spent two years working in the Guildhall library in London, before settling down to be a full-time mum. She now has three grown-up sons and four grandchildren. Her father was a bookbinder and invented brilliant stories to pass the time during his job. Maggie began writing with retelling lesser-known traditional stories and has since written over thirty books for every age group. She has written in practically every genre but still finds herself being drawn back to folk tales and legends.
Short illustrated adaptations of well-known stories, designed to offer young readers an exciting and accessible introduction to the classics.
