Product Description

Product Description

This book has been approved by the ECDL Foundation (who set the syllabus, arrange the tests, approve courseware, training, and testing). It contains everything necessary to pass the Office 2000 track of ECDL, covering each of the seven modules in a simple, jargon-free way. The European Computer Driving License (ECDL) is an internationally recognised certificate of end-user computing skills. It is currently being followed by close to a million people worldwide .In Ireland it has already been taken up by close to 2% of the population. Britain will almost certainly sign up a half million people this year. To qualify for the license, candidates have to pass seven tests of PC knowledge and skill in the common business applications (word-processing, database, spreadsheets, presentations, Internet). The syllabus is set by the ECDL Foundation and applies equally in every country. It is widely used by training organisations to prove the quality of their training, and by employers to set a benchmark for recruitment and promotion.

here is a good read for anyone wishing to suceed in the ECDL tests. the book is really all you need to pass the 7 required modules. the information is very easy to follow and the style is relaxed. the authors make the subject interesting by guiding you through worked examples which follow on to though each module. if you have a pc at home then you will get through the course and worked examples in no time. i did the majority of the work in two weeks and completed all 7 tests in one hour and fifty one minutes with an average score across the tests of 95%. you will be suprised how quickly the information is retainedas you go through the book. i am looking forward to completing the advanced ecdl books in Word and Excel.

This book really is excellent for people like me who are a little hesitant to use a computer.

It covers all 7 modules of the ECDL if that's what you want it for. You don't need anytning else. I know, I passed the ECDL with it!

It is written very clearly, "do this and this happens" (it does!), lots of pictures, lots of useful tips.

The authors even make it interesting and make you want to continue !
