The item Dyson Internal Hose Assembly for DC04, DC07, DC14 is listed as "Dyson Internal Hose Assembly for DC04, DC07, DC14 by Dyson" with the product description stating "GENUINE Dyson spare part". However, what arrived was NOT a genuine part, was of different dimensions to and clearly weaker construction than the original part from the Dyson machine, and simply did not fit. Dyson, when contacted, stated that they do not provide spare parts to third party sellers such as the one I purchased the item from, and which is still prominently listed on this product page. After much difficulty I did secure a full refund with the seller instructing me to 'throw it in the bin' rather than have them pay for the return postage costs, as they would have been legally required to do. A potential false economy and a misleading product description.
If you have a similar experience having purchased this product you have an unconditional right to formally cancel the order within 7 days following receipt of the goods under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and to obtain a full refund. Contrary to what many Amazon Marketplace sellers state in their refund policies, this refund will include the cost of returning the item to the seller where the consumer has the right to reject the goods under a term of the contract, including a term implied by virtue of any enactment (in this case the Sale of Goods Act 1979 - which dictates that goods covered by the Act must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality).

MAKE SURE WETHER YOUR ORIGINAL PIPE HAS ONE END FITTING OR TWO BEFORE ORDERING.
Early models of DC04 had 2 ends, later ones have 1.This one is for LATER model.

Just as good as an original
This hose fitted my dyson perfectly at a fraction of the price.I was unsure about not buying the original part but now im glad i didnt.

Not bad.
It's not bad. I can't knock it too much because it was almost half price to the Dyson made one. It's just a bit hard to get off the metal tube when you want to use just the hose. Read more

just a hose
Had trouble attaching one of the ends to the dyson so I unscrewed that end fron the original and put it on the new hose. No problems beyond that and it was cheap
