Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Dyson DC19T2 Multi Floor Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner for Every Floor Type

DC19T2 Multi Floor is cylinder vacuum cleaner engineered for high dust and dirt removal on every floor type – not just carpet. It has a dual mode floor tool that switches between hard floors and carpets at the push of a button. There's also a lightweight adjustable wand, which extends to the length you want for convenient high-reach cleaning.

Like all Dyson vacuum cleaners, DC19T2 has patented Root Cyclone technology, so it doesn't lose suction power as you clean. There are no bags to replace, and filters are washable, so with DC19T2 there are no extra costs.

Root Cyclone technology for no loss of suction.

Dyson engineers are constantly testing and inventing, trying to find new ways to make their technology work better. As they work, they file patent applications to protect their inventions from copycat manufacturers. That’s why the only place you’ll find Dyson technology is inside a Dyson machine.

DC19T2 Multi Floor uses the following patented Dyson technology:

Root Cyclone technology for no loss of suction

Ordinary vacuum cleaners rely on bags and filters to trap all the dust and dirt. Air is meant to flow through tiny holes, leaving dust and dirt behind. The problem is that when you use them, these tiny holes quickly clog up with particles of dust. This chokes the flow of air, so the vacuum cleaner loses suction.

Dyson vacuum cleaners don’t rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. They use patented Root Cyclone technology, which spins the air at incredibly high speeds. The cyclones inside a Dyson vacuum cleaner generate centrifugal forces many thousands of times the force of gravity. Dust, dirt and pet hair are flung out of the airflow and straight into the bin. No bags, no loss of suction.

DC19T2 Multi Floor includes

Dual mode floor tool for every floor type
Cleans every floor type, with a wide debris channel to capture more dirt and dust. The outer edges agitate the carpet pile, flinging dirt and dust up into the airflow. To clean hard floors, press a button to release long bristles that protect delicate surfaces from scratches. The bristle curtain has gaps so it won’t snowplough larger particles like rice and peanuts.

HEPA filter traps microscopic particles

Lightweight adjustable wand
DC19T2 Multi Floor has a lightweight adjustable wand for easy high-reach cleaning, with variable settings so you can adjust it to the length you want. There’s also a suction release trigger, so curtains, upholstery and rugs won’t stick to it. The wand is constructed from glass-filled polypropylene to withstand bumps and bashes.

Detachable handle
You can detach the handle and click-fit tools directly to the end of the hose. This gives easier access for cleaning confined spaces such as upholstery, stairs and inside the car.

Convenient tool storage
The combination brush/crevice tool and stair tool that are included with DC19T2 Multi Floor store on the wand, so they are always on hand when you need them.

Clear bin lets you see when it needs emptying
The bin on a Dyson vacuum cleaner is transparent so you can see when it needs emptying – and just how much dust, dirt and pet hair your new Dyson machine has picked up.

Captures allergens, expels cleaner air
Dyson cyclones are able to capture microscopic particles down to 0.5 microns. DC19T2 Multi Floor also includes a sealed HEPA filter as an extra safeguard for allergy sufferers. It traps microscopic particles down to 1/5,000 of a pinhead. Particles this small include common household allergens such as pollen, mould spores and dust mite faeces.

Approved for allergy sufferers
Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums are approved by 12 allergy associations worldwide, including the British Allergy Foundation (BAF) and Allergie Suisse. Allergie Suisse approval is one of the most stringent in the world. To secure it, vacuums have to provide constant suction and separation performance so that they don’t lose effectiveness while you clean.

No bags to replace
The bags in ordinary vacuum cleaners clog with dust and dirt, causing a loss of suction. After a while the suction can fall so low you have to replace the bag – and throw the old one away. A lot of vacuum cleaner bags these days are made from a mixture of plastic and paper, which means you can’t recycle them. Like a lot of waste, they end up in landfill or are incinerated.

With a Dyson vacuum, you can simply detach the clear bin and empty it. There are no bags to replace.

No extra costs
Other vacuum cleaners are still designed to need replacement bags and filters – and the cost soon adds up. Over 5 years, you could end up having to spend up to £175. Dyson vacuum cleaners don’t need bags and have lifetime washable filters, so there are no extra costs to worry about.

5 year parts and labour guarantee
You’d be amazed at some of the tests Dyson carry out on their machines to make sure they’re as tough and reliable as possible. During development, a push/pull rig moves Dyson vacuum cleaners a minimum of 5,740,157 feet. The hose is kinked 9,828 times. The bin is opened 1,560 times. Upright vacuum cleaners undergo 207 different validation tests, cylinders 240. That’s why Dyson are so confident in their machines they guarantee all their uprights and cylinders for 5 years – parts and labour.

Very Good Cleaner 31 Mar 2011
By Kasper
This is the first Dyson that I have ever brought. Everyone said that Dyson was the way to go and I have to say I now agree with them. I was amazed the amount of rubbish that it picked up.

I use this Dyson in a 3 bedroom house consisting of both Wooden and carpet floors and it works great on both. It came with stair tool as well as a long nozzle tool. The nozzle tool has a brush attachment integrated into it that you can slide up its length if you want the brush or slide back if you do not. I would have preferred a separate attachment and thus why I gave it a 4 star rating (But please this is a personal thing don't let it stop you from buying.) The attachments store nicely on a little fixture that sits around the barrel of the standard floor carpet attachment (that is the long retractable pole thing u see in the picture - sorry for my poor explanation) which keeps everything nice and neat.

On a side line I looked at a lot of different Dyson as my other half is very small and we had to have something she could carry up and down the stairs, and this hoover was just right for that. Although she can not stand up holding the Hoover while vacuuming as it will give her ache arm she can lift it up and down the stairs with no problems at all.

I'm not an expert on vacuum cleaners, in fact this is the first one I've bought (previous one was a hand-me-down). First let me say the suction on this thing is amazing, sometimes I worry that it's going to actually suck up my house. On wooden and laminated floors the dual-mode head is great, it moves smoothly and picks up every speck of dirt and fluff.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for carpets. Using the dual-mode head on either setting is a struggle and it seems to be completely defeated by fluff. The head simply pushes the fluff aside and you find yourself moving the head directly over fluff, stopping, moving a little and then lifting to see if it finally sucked it up. This makes a simple task of vacuum cleaning a room a long and tedious job.

I've now ordered the turbine head directly from Dyson and hopefully this will alleviate the fluff problem and make it easier to move around. However, this is an extra £55 on top of the price of the so-called Multi Floor Vacuum Cleaner that is apparently for Every Floor Type!

no doubt-buy it 7 Jun 2011
To lay it on the line, it has been my wife who has purchased vacum cleaners in our house & frankly they have been junk.As I am the one who vacum cleans here at the ranch, I decided some time ago that I had a gutfull & that I would buy another vacum cleaner. A friend of mine in the UK had a Dyson,so I started to do a check which revealed great reviews for the DC19T2. It arrived here a week ago & I am unable to believe the quality of the product. The suction is unreal, almost sucked up the cat.I do not have one negative comment relating to this product. Conclusion- fantastic-
