Product Description

Product Description

Dyson DC19T2 replaces the DC19 Origin model, with a re-engineered floor tool to remove more dirt from carpets and hard floors. The body of the cylinder machine has three wheels to allow you to pull the machine behind you and control where it goes. The lightweight wand handle adjusts to the length you want and is made from polycarbonate plastic, which is extremely tough and durable. The variable suction option allows you to reduce suction so that you can clean curtains, upholstery or rugs without them sticking to the cleaner. Finally, on board tool storage helps store tools securely on the machine so they're always on-hand.

Core Dyson features and technology, plus:

  • Dual mode floor tool – to pick-up dirt across every floor type
  • Patented Root Cyclone technology
  • Adjustable wand sets to the length you want
  • Lifetime washable filter
  • On-board tools – brush, crevice and stair
  • Five year guarantee

Dyson is all about developing new and better technology, so that our vacuum cleaners give the highest performance, room after room. We are driven by continuous improvement and new ideas to make things that work properly. A Dyson vacuum is different to others as it uses patented Root Cyclone technology to spin dirt out of the airflow and straight into the bin. With no bags to clog, a Dyson vacuum doesn’t lose suction.

Unlike others, there is no need to buy replacement bags or filters and so you could save up to £175 over five years (costs based on recommended five year usage by the manufacturer in June 2009). All Dyson vacuums are repeatedly tested for an equivalent of 10 years use to ensure durability. The air expelled from a Dyson vacuum has up to 150 times less mould and bacteria than the air you breathe, which is one of the reasons why Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums carry the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval. Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums also come with a free 5 year guarantee.

I bought this vacuum cleaner a few weeks ago after my 8 month old Russel Hobbs literally blew up...
What can I say... It is by far the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever used. It works great on both carpet and hard surfaces and picks up everything!!! I thought my carpet was clean before I first used it and when I saw the results in the bin I was a bit shocked.
I have read reviews where people complain about the length of the cord, but that was never an issue with me.
5* from me I would recommend it fearlessly.

I bought one of these for my parents, but it never got used. Why I don't know maybe, the older generation prefer to us a cleaner that uses bags. Well my dad's reasoning was that it was too big and hard to use.

Having been a Dyson fan for a while myself, when it came to buying a new cleaner for my parents it just had to be a Dyson. Now as they have no pets I didn't need to get the all singing 'doggy do away with hair one' but just this model. Pleased, well I was with the results/performance this one gave, even Dad had to agree on that score.

Anyway I had to give the house (dad's) a dammed good clean and Dyson to the rescue. In all truth if it were not for Dyson which made light work of a very dusty situation I reckon I would still be there now with a feather duster trying to remove the dust from the blinds.

It is so powerful, the long reach hose and tools make easy work of curtain pelmet dust and blind cleaning, just slot the brush on and away goes the dust and none going up in the air. Without it (I did try with a feather duster) but it was more like a film scene (where you get the whirlwind of dust). Easy to see when the bin is full and easy to empty (even our 8yr old) was emptying it out and replacing the cylinder back on. Now if I had to use bags in it, it would have cost a fortune (as many emptying trips were done).

The carpets were left looking a shade brighter (daft it sounds I know) but it really does get deep down clean.

Easy to use the different attachments (tools) and they are well made.

I even hoovered the walls to get rid of cobwebs/dust and even the thick dust off the tops of cupboards. A multi purpose cleaner that cleans everything in its path, even down to the sugar I spilt on the carpet.

    First:
Forget the 'serious design flaw' mentioned in a previous review. Just MOVE YOUR HAND and you'll reach it with no problem.

    The design?
As usual with Dyson, is superb and simple. Everything is made to come apart easily for cleaning, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put it back together. The diagrams in the handbook are clear and concise, with no extraneous blurb to pad things out.

    The cable length 'issue'?
I found 6 Metres to be enough to work with and not too long to get tangled up around furniture. Most houses these days have multiple wall sockets for the new fangled electricity, so moving a plug from one to the other is hardly the end of the World. You just don't need miles of cable any more.

The performance? Well, what do you expect me to say? Dyson always delivers, and this vacuum is no exception to the rule.

    Is it cheap?
No, but you knew that already. Dyson stuff will never be cheap because what you are buying is not 'just another hoover' but a superbly designed piece of work that looks cool, and will continue to look cool long after other machines are dust.
There's also the matter of the five year guarantee, which says a lot about Dyson's confidence in it's products.

I might add that I've just bought the AM01 fan. Nope, not cheap either, but it's the design that makes Dyson stand out from the crowd, and will continue to do so for as long as they remain innovators in their field.

I simply don't know why I have not bought a dyson vacuum before now.
Easily the best vacuum I have ever owned - easy to put together, power beyond compare.
The dyson sotwaways are exactly the same as the uprights (I checked this with dyson themselves before purchase).
    I highly recommend this vacuum.

The Dyson is fantastic, the suction power is brilliant.
Better than any vaccuum I've ever had.
The quality is great, the floor tool is fantastic and other attachments make cleaning so easy.
This was the best price I could find on the internet and would recommend it to anyone.
    Great value for money

Having resisted buying a Dyson for years - mainly due to the price. I decided to go for it ...... and I'm so glad I did.
It's amazing how much 'extra' dust the Dyson picks up. Where does it all come from!!!
This model is very easy to use. I can carry it up the stairs with ease - unlike my old model vacuum.
It's fairly lightweight and manoeuvres well.
It's reasonably priced on Amazon too.

We have a 3 floors and the stairs to match which meant we needed a powerful vacuum that is also light enough and manoeuvrable enough to do the job. This Dyson is perfect.

Fantastic product easy to use, easy to clean.
Nicely compact enough to store and lots of
    brush heads to choose from.
The suction is very powerful and is vastly
superior to other vacuum cleaners I've tried.
I like the transparent cylinder where I can
see how much it has filled up, where with
enclosed bag vacuums you have to guess when
    to empty them.
I'm very happy I got this Dyson because it
    makes cleaning FUN!
