5.0 out of 5 stars Dyslexia, a specially developed brain not an accident, 12 Aug 2003
Very informative book both for the professional and the layman.
Chapters follow through in an orderly fashion, and give plenty of structured advice and models.
This book also discusses the historical views of the dyslexic condition and gives a more rounded option backed up by current research.
A very positive book which discusses the virtues of the dyslexic brain and the advantages in a modern computer structured society.
A whole chapter is dedicated to contacts and gives useful information on what these people do.
This is a must read book for anyone in authority who comes into contact with the dyslexic and as well as the dyslexic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Working with adults with dyslexia, 9 Jan 2007
By write123 (Ireland) - See all my reviews
This is a very good book for practitioners working with adults with dyslexia. It is especially good to help dyslexics cope in employment. There are lots of resources for help with literacy in other books. This book deals with other aspects of dyslexia.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not much cop for the adult bit, 8 Dec 2005
By A Customer
this book seems to focus on adults as if they had a bit more needs than kids which makes it a bit boring for adults
