Everything becomes even more outrageous in Dynasty Season 5. The clothes, the campiness, and the outta-this-world Catherine Oxenberg as Amanda (who has much more than just a paternal affection for her step-dad Dex) all add up to a storyline so fantastic there's nowhere to go but down once the party is over and--trust me--Season 6 does exactly that. Before the show firmly jumps the shark in the first few seconds of the next season, however, we're treated to even more of Claudia's crazy behavior, Linda Evan's rather wooden acting but stunningly beautiful face and body, and the hotness that is Luke Fuller, who, beneath his innocent act seems to enjoy breaking up Steven and cuckoo Claudia. On that note, did none of the writers realize that when a man is attracted to both men and women, he's not gay but bi? It's that trademarked American unwillingness to face facts, though, that just adds to the non-reality-based fun. Don't let anyone ruin the excitement of the ultimate cliffhanger by telling you what happens once the next season starts. Beyond this fifth go-round, Dynasty would suffer through three scrappy series before returning to form in its final year with the addition of Stephanie Beacham as Sable--a cat with claws just as sharp as those of Alexis.
