First, my thanks to Mr Lewis in his review for pointing out that this is a 2 metre cable, there is nothing in the product info to tell you, most others I've seen on ebay are only 1m long for usb to centronics.
I used this cable for my trusty HP Laserjet series III and it works fine, just note that the port setting used is USB instead of LPT. Although this may seem obvious, usb to serial cables appear as a comm port in device manager and I was expecting to see an LPT port with this cable connected..you don't.
The cable is a USB 1.1 device, but don't let that put you off as a parallel port could not cope with USB 2 speeds anyway

Had no problems - easy to install. 2m cable was more than adequate. Very good value for money. Package includes user manual and device driver diskette (not required for my installation)

Top marks to ABC products - I received it a day before the promised despatch date. Not much to say about the cable other than it serves its purpose. I hooked it up, Vista saw and installed it and my old HP LaserJet 4L gets a new lease of life.

What can you say about something that should work out of the box.

The product was unable to detect the software and or suitable for HP7000 wide printer. I was disapinted and the goods was put on to a rubish bin.
