About the Author

Steven Champeon has over 8 years of Internet–related computing and management experience, having worked with companies such as IBM, Odigo, Oxford University Press, Nerve, and more to develop and implement their Web presences. He is now the CTO of hesketh.com/inc., a Raleigh, NC –based Web design and development services company. He is a frequent speaker at trade conferences, and contributes to the online community through his management of and participation in online forums including Webdesign–l, a mailing list community targeting Web design professionals, and the Inetworkers mailing list. Author of "Building Dynamic HTML GUIs," Steven has also written on Web–related topics for www.developer.com; he also does development and tech editing.

Scott Andrew LePera lives in San Francisco, CA. He’s written articles for DevX and has several great articles on his own site related to DHTML, particularly in the newer browsers.

A founding partner of Schwa Digital Design, Eric Costello has been building websites and web applications since 1995 for clients like Sharp Electronics, Nextel, and Ralston Purina. He now devotes time to studying next generation, standards–based web technologies. He speaks SQL, XML, XSL, CSS, DOM, and Ecmascript, and is also an expert in ASP. He recently developed the 2001 5k Competition site (www.the5k.org), and also researched and built a resource to transition to CSS–based page layouts (www.glish.com/css/). Eric is a producer and supporter of independent content on the web.
