Firstly, ive been a Dylan fan for some time, black books and monster being two of my favourite comdey dvds ever. I went to see him on this tour in Glasgow, and had the dvd been that show i wouldve given it 5 stars.
However at this show he doesnt seem to enjoy himself at all. He doesnt even allow himself a smirk. The delivery of his material made him sound bored an basically like he wanted the whole thing to be over asap. "And the cage comes down, and you kill mummy with a trowel" was delivered to perfection and had the glasgow audienece in stitches. In this he says it very quickly while the audience is clapping.
Having said all that its still very good, though not as funny as his previous stuff. But then again, just Dylan standing reading a paper would be more funny than Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr, Al Murry or ****ing Russel Brand.

Shame on you! 20 May 2007
Please beware of some earlier opinions, this stand up set is fantastic, I thought 'Monster' was brilliant, although at some times he had appeared nervous it was startlingly clever and very original.

'Like, Totally..' does not fail to raise the bar. The set feels far more complete and free flowing. Some have written he seems 'BORED'?, obviously confusing the words 'bored' with 'relaxed', he seems far more confident in his twisted perspective and how he deliveres it. Yes, he has taken one or two jokes from his 'Monster' set but comics such as Lee Evans have been rehashing the same jokes for the last ten years, the fact that Dylan Moran has expelled so much fresh material is astonishing.

To add...
People expecting Black books 'live' will be disappointed, but only because it's NOT Black books! Heaven forbid he ever try to portray it in a live format (R.I.P `Mitchell and webb' & `The league of gentlemen') Very rarely does a TV show transfer to a live format successfully (the only one springing to mind being The mighty boosh's offering, but then I had seen the show before the DVD which is probably where the added appreciation lies).

Anyway, enough rambling...

Buy it!

Brilliant 6 Mar 2007
I saw this show live at the Apollo (and my friend rather upsettingly made it onto the DVD, whereas I didn't) and I thought it was great. I thought Monster was better, but not dramatically so, and certainly not enough to merit the scathing reviews here.

I don't think he seems tired or bored with the material (and there is no noticible repitition in the material from Monster). I think he's just settled in the role he plays on stage.

Given a choice of one or the other, Monster trumps this DVD, but only just :)

Thoought this would be good like black books and others he;s been in, but he just babbled on about rubbish. He monotone and obscure sense of humer makes this annoying to watch.

Giant cages, kids in bed, and stupid Americans.
Dylan Moran has a great stage presence - his seemingly half drunken delivery and unkempt yet clean physical style make him visually very appealing. Read more

Great
I'd only recommend buying this DVD if you have a spare couple months to get over your complete obsession with the humour, sensitivity and sheer intelligence of this man. Read more

I can't understand why so many people have slated this DVD!! I bought it a while after having bought Monster, and I thought it was equally as good, if not better. Read more

Only for hardcore fans
This one's only for those of you who need to see every minute of Moran's work. For others of you who liked Black Books or Monster you will be very disapointed.
