3.0 out of 5 stars Space opera yes, Banks no., 1 Feb 2004
By A Customer
Banks and Bester? I don't see it myself. All three of these books are enjoyable for what they are--easy read space operas. I enjoyed them, but there's nothing Earth shattering about them.

Read them by all means, but don't expect Bester or Banks like the critics would have you believe. There's no comparing these authors. They're just too different.

4.0 out of 5 stars The best space opera I've come across since Dune, 16 May 2001
By A Customer
I've read all three Evergence titles and I am seriously impressed. They're the best space opera I've come across since Dune. I'm not surprised that the reviewers are comparing it to Iain Banks and Bester.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read., 6 May 2004
By C. B. Pemberton "Badash777" (Crawley, West Sussex, England.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A well written space opera, I would highly recommend this series to any fans of the genre. Simpler than Dune and much better written than Star Wars; this is one worth reading.
