Although this book is quite small, there is a wealth of information contained therein. There's a useful question and answer section, good instructions on the growing and nurturing of your plants, garden plans and layouts for an attractive, as well as useful beds of plants.
The basics of dying, processing the types of fibre are comprehensively explained, even to the novice.
The excellent last section gives each dye plant in detail and illustrates the colours which may be obtained with different mordanting.
Overall, it is a very well conceived book, to be recommended, not only for the beginner, but for all dyers, as a first class reference, despite its size, this book should not to be ignored.
