Product Description

Product Description

Wash & Dry Me Duck Down Duvets:
Pure luxury, a natural duvet that can be laundered at home in a domestic washing machine, and tumble dried.

Product Description

The natural comfort of British duck down is light and luxurious, keeping you warm over the cooler summer nights whilst also been cool when it gets warm. The boxed construction ensures an even filling avoiding any cold spots in your bed and the 100% cotton, 240 thread count fabric is not only down proof (e.g stopping down popping out) but also luxuriously thick. The blend is 90% natural down and 10% small feather as it's near impossible to achieve 100% down so we just go for 100% comfort.

4.0 out of 5 stars Light and Warmer than 6 togs 11 Feb 2010
Style Name:6.0 Tog|Size Name:7.5
I bought this as a medium weight summer/autumn duvet so was surprised at how warm it is - I'm still using it in January. It's very soft and light in weight but seems to have plenty of filling that's well distributed in pockets. It has a luxurious way of wrapping right around you in bed that I don't find with man-made filled duvets. I haven't tried washing it yet, so that will be for another review!Wash & Dry Me Duck Down Duvet 100% Cotton Cambric Cover 6.0 Tog King 220X225Cm

This duvet is gorgeous, lightweight but definitely keeps you warm at night.

Haven't washed it yet so don't know how that'll go.

Would definitely recommed it

1.0 out of 5 stars Flawed toggle system 12 Jun 2012
By Jimbo
Style Name:13.5 Tog All Seasons| Size Name:Double|Verified Purchase
Bought a 3-in-1 all season version (9+4.5tog) and am happy with the warmth, weight and overall feel of the product. But that's where it all ends.

Their oh-so-unique "toggle system" doesn't quite work the way it should. It's basically a bunch of extremely flimsy knot cufflinks put through sewn holes. One fell apart before we even began to use the duvets (had to tie it in place)!

But even more annoying, for some stupid reason that I cannot comprehend, the side sewn toggle holes on the two duvets DO NOT MATCH. Only the holes on the four corners can be used. In other words, out of 8 toggles, only 4 can be used which is not enough at all for a heavy duvet. This means the two duvets will easily slide around in the cover.

For such an eye watering price tag, I did not expect to find such a bizarre and obvious design flaw. This looks more like two great duvets (when used separately), with incompatible toggle systems, put in one box! Not exactly an all season duvet.

5.0 out of 5 stars best set yet 11 May 2011
Style Name:6.0 Tog| Size Name:7.5|Verified Purchase
Having looked around I wanted something that would keep me warm during winter months. Then I had to weigh in whether I should go for something less thick that could be used most of the year or go for thick, but get a second duvet for those warmer months. Well then I found these! In the product description it's stated that you can join two duvets together, although in practice there are just little holes though which you can tie them together (nothing fancier than that). So I got these two of these 6 tog versions, tied them together and it has been plenty warm at +19 degrees even with a slight draft. Take one out and it's great when there are two under the covers. Better yet, I can use these until the very hottest of summer months!

All in all, the down smell is not strong at all, at least when compared to my previous covers and pillows. Obviously there will be some lingering smell especially after getting slightly humid from sleeping in it, so avoid if you can't stand the smell. But no worse than competitors, if not better. To respond to one of the reviewer's issues about the duvet being thin and "limp".. Well it is thin, it's a 6 tog cover! And duvet is one of the best natural insulators, so it's bound to be thinner than synthetic of a similar tog, especially when compressed. As to limp - well, if it's thin it's also limp. The filling were even however.

Quality wise I have nothing to complain about so I'm giving it five stars for good value (I bought it on offer).

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, comfy, comfy. 8 Nov 2010
By Lesley
Style Name:13.5 Tog|Size Name:13.5
Fantastic, it is so comfortable and feels like heaven. When it arrived in the box I thought it was not that thick but on putting it on the bed in a duvet cover it seemed to fluff out. Well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!! 8 July 2011
By S. Hunt
Style Name:6.0 Tog|Size Name:7.5
I was a little wary of buying a 6 tog duvet, I like them warm and my husband has been complaining on a nightly basis to get rid of our 12 tog. We are both really happy with this one. It is very light which makes changing the covers on a super kingsize a lot easier. It is also still warm enough for me and not too hot for him. This was a great price too.

3.0 out of 5 stars comfy but not accurate 10 Nov 2010
Style Name:13.5 Tog| Size Name:13.5|Verified Purchase
It's a good duvet, and definitely value for money. However, it says 100% down here, but actually the label on the duvet says it's 90% down and 10% small feathers. As it's still pretty comfy and warm, I didn't bother to return it. I just hope the store will correct the information on their site, although I'd have bought it anyway even if not 100% down.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed 20 Nov 2009
Style Name:10.5 Tog|Size Name:10.5
I ordered this duvet thinking the original price meant it was going to be good quality but was very disappointed when it arrived (3 weeks after ordering)
It was incredibly thin and limp. Not at all puffy and luxurious as I has hoped.
A couple of the pockets had no stuffing in them at all and the others were less than half full. If you held it up to the light you could see how little stuffing there was.Needless to say I send it straight back.
