The Dutch-English section gives the accurate pronunciation for each word in International Phonetic Alphabet, but the English-Dutch section gives an old-fashioned and vague "imitated pronunciation" instead. In other words, if you're a Dutch or Belgian person looking for an English word, you get accurate pronunciation details, but if you're an English-speaking user looking for a Dutch word, you get a greatly inferior pronunciation guide.

Good pocket-sized dictionary that is small enough to carry around with you. Words are easy to look up as they are coloured in blue making it very user-friendly

Great little addition

My girlfriend got this little dictionary for me after a complained about constantly going online for translations (www.mijnwoordenboek.nl). This book has been a very big help. It's very small, but has a durable cover. The immediate translations for some words are outdated, so mijn verloofde tells me, but she can always understand the point I'm trying to make. Also, there's a section in the back that gives some additional instruction, like the correct way to conjugate "to be" and how to tell time like they do in Nederland.
Whether you get this dictionary, or the Langenscheidt, I think you'll be pleased.
