Product Description

Product Description

So you’re driving on I-10 east or west, through the canyons and hills of Southern Arizona in Cochise County, you feel a gust of wind. Many signs say “Beware of wind gusts”. It is not always the wind in late afternoon or dusk. Mostly it’s the ghosts rushing back to the never-ending poker games, bottomless whiskey bottles and a party that last forever in Tombstone. Go see for yourself after the tourists have gone home for the day. Walk down Allen Street. I may say hello or you may think it is the wind.

Dust of Tombstone is an excellent first book by KF Kirwin. It's a mystery/ghost story that holds your interest, with many twists and turns that will surprise you. The story builds nicely and the characters are well rounded. It's a definite page-turner. I would recommend it to all, and am looking forward to the next book by Ms Kirwin.
4.0 out of 5 stars A natural storyteller 30 May 2011

Dust of Tombstone draws you in to the magic of the Old West. One part mystery, a dash of western charm and a frightening ride into a compelling ghost story.

Kirwin is a natural storyteller and this is a wonderful debut novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leaves you wanting more! Great first novel! 14 Feb 2011

Dust of Tombstone, an addictive page-turner, will leave the reader breathless with its carefully crafted twists and surprises. K. F. Kirwin's debut novel combines the nostalgic aura of the Old West with a riveting modern-day mystery. Told though the eyes of its main character John, a travel and leisure reporter, Dust of Tombstone pulls the reader into the center of a collision between the paranormal and revenge stoked by greed. Perfect for a rainy weekend in front of the fire or under the umbrella at the beach, Dust of Tombstone guarantees the reader will never look at a dusty room the same way ever again!

1.0 out of 5 stars seriously? really really needs editing. 18 Mar 2011

This first novel attempt has a very interesting story concept and could be readable if it had received some editing. I wish the author had had someone read it through and make some sensible revisions. There is a distressing amount of repetition, changing of tenses mid-sentence, etc., errors really too numerous to mention. Have someone edit this and then charge $5.50 for it. I'm afraid we pay in good faith for too much of this on Amazon, and have felt very distressed. The star is for story premise only. I do applaud effort, writing good books is not at all easy, although publishing them electronically has gotten to be so. In that spirit, keep working, but get an eloquent and detail oriented person to help with editing. There is a reason good editors make decent money.
