I have been delighted with this product ever since I bought it.
You receive a nice box with the chopper neatly placed inside, you remove the plastic protection and what you find is a generously sized bowl that other choppers in the market really lack. Compared to the kenwood mini chopper, for example, this one excels in the amount of ingredients you can process.
Within the bowl, you will find a nice and sharp blade that is similar to the one used in a normal food processor to chop ingredients. This blade neatly locks into place through a metal pin that sits in the middle of the bowl. You can add all kinds of ingredients, and the chopper will handle them quite impressively. I've tried chopping a whole lemon cut in half as a test and the final result was a fine pulp that was really well chopped. The lemons were chopped with the rind and the end result was really impressive, you can make jams pretty easily with this product because I am sure that it has more than enough power to process what you put inside it. After you add the ingredients you want, you only need to lock the lid in place by gently rotating it around until it drops into place on the guides found on the edges of the bowl, and then you're ready to go. All you need to do to get it working is to put a little bit of pressure on top of the chopper motor and it will start. There is a clever turbo button that handles harder stuff pretty well! I tried chopping extra mature cheddar to sprinkle over pasta and the turbo function made a wonderful job out of the cheese.
The lid has a rubber band in the central orifice where the shaft of the blade enters the motor to be spun, protecting the motor from the contents within the bowl. This is clearly a well thought-out product that screams quality. The looks are nice and will fit in any kitchen, I'm sure. It is also compact enough that you can store it away in a cupboard without taking space that could be used for groceries. The bowl is graded as well so you know how much of the ingredients you've added.
When I purchase kitchen appliances, I look for the ones that are smart when it comes to cleaning, and this one certainly is. There's a minimum of crevices where food can get lodged in and make it hard to clean, so the most you'll find yourself doing to get this cleaned is running it under warm tap water to remove the rough and using a soft sponge with detergent to scrub away the rest, leaving a clean bowl and accessories behind for using again and again. You can simply rinse off the bowl after each use if you're going to chop or mix different things, it really does get cleaned so easily.
If you find yourself using your food processor to chop ingredients and find it so frustrating to have to clean everything afterwards, you will love this product, it makes cleaning so much easier because it is such a simple appliance that simply works well without complicated parts to assemble.
The bowl has a rubber-like non-slip base that can be removed to clean and that's a nice touch because it protects the work surfaces as well as the bowl. Although it's not made of glass, it looks extremely durable and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
I've tried chopping things from tomatoes to coconut, and mixing things from eggs and herbs to butter and sugar and it does everything I want.
If you're trying to decide among the choppers available out there, do not hesitate to choose this one. I would not think twice if anyone asked me if I would recommend it, I would simply say "get it and see for yourself", it's truly versatile, powerful, easy to clean, affordable and this all gets summed up in this small sentence: indispensable in the kitchen and value for money.
You will be surprised to see how much you'll use this, and even more surprised when you find yourself saving time and doing things with it that you never thought would be necessary. That's how easy it makes life in the kitchen.
