bought this based on reviews by others, but on first installation the mounting arm that holds the the dvd player holder snapped, making the entire holder useless, i have tried to fix this, but have found that the whole design is flawed and needs re-thinking, i may be ok for a tablet PC, but not for a DVD player that weighs a few more grams and has a three your old playing with it.
Our original car mounting kit for the Phillips PET831 DVD player broke and I couldn't get a replacement. My first purchase (not from this seller) was advertised as suitable for a PET series DVD player but when it arrived it was clear from the pictures on the box that it was more suitable for a lightweight item like an iPad - it broke on its first outing. I wasn't sure how much to expect from this purchase but was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy nature of the stand which is very easy to fit, even on our car which has very thick headrest supports. A 5 star rating from us.
