If you only listened to the first track, Johnny Guitar, then you could well imagine you were listening to the Shadows but without Hank Marvin (anyone under 45 or so, ask your father or an older friend).
But the rest is quite different - difficult to categorise, indeed. Certainly strains of both the Orient and of North Africa in various tracks, even though the musicians live in Turkey. There are some "vocals" but more in the style of instruments than lyrics, if you know what I mean, and a strong electro influence.
Definitely something a little bit different, and definitely something worth listening to a few times to get to know it - for me it grew on me the more I listened to it.
