I became interested in this DVD after watching the Oprah special on Dunstan baby language. The DVD didn't go much further than the actual show. The first dvd is 20 minutes the second 12, with a few additional minutes of parent reviews. I'm not saying it isn't a good system, after watching the show and showing my husband the website we picked up on the 'neh' sound for hungry immediately. Some of the settling techniques are also different and interesting, so not a waste of money but wouldn't buy it new for 50£

The Dunstan Baby language DVD will educate parents to interpret the sounds that their babies make, allowing them to address their needs more easily. The pack contains two DVDs, each with their own lesson. Dr. Priscella Dunstan, who conducted years of research in this area, gives very clear and succinct instructions on how to interpret the sounds that babies make. Numerous examples of each sound are given and it was easy to identify the sounds that ones own baby makes.

Having explained what the sounds mean, Dr. Dunstan then demonstrates techniques, some uncommon and atypical, to content the baby.
The lessons are paced very well and the settings, vocabulary and diction that Dr. Dunstan uses, makes learning the Dunstan Baby language effortless.

The DVDs were excellent and great value in terms of time, stress and money for any parent, not just first time parents.

Drivel, at best 1 Oct 2010
The videos are awkward and unprofessional ... not one father was seen in its entirety (which is sad, because I'm an expecting father), and for the price, you would expect Ms. Dunstan to be a registered professional in speech and cognition. Not so. Not only is she not a doctor of any kind, the research purported on the website (...) is abhorrently weak, and the entire program is based on cherry-picked customer reviews. They are in the least deluding themselves, at worst knowingly charging a lot of money for a ridiculously short program, that has no basis in any sound research. Anyone seeking to understand their infant, should steer clear from this program. This is what doctors would call a "wallet extraction".
