3.0 out of 5 stars It's not that bad! 29 Feb 2012

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
True - this will probably end up in the bargain bin when Warrior's Lair/Ruin turns up but until then, this is OK. Price is ridiculous considering the PS3/PSN version was about a third of the cost but it's playable hack and slash.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hack & slash funzone! 24 Feb 2012
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I agree with the other reviews saying that the price of the game is too much. However, it is still a fun game to play, especially co-op mode. It is NOT a direct port from the iphone version, there are many new cool features and updated graphics to enjoy.

The sounds are alot better if you use a pair of headphones, the ps vita speakers are not that great tbh. It is basically a diablo clone, which isn't a bad thing imho. Still a very fun game to play, and def worth buying if you love dungeon crawlers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable dungeon grinder 3 April 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I have to admit that Dungeon Hunter is a guilty pleasure. I first played it on my iTouch but never really got on with the control scheme. But I persevered and eventually it became the second most played game I had. Once it came out on the PS3 I dipped in and found it to be one of those "I'll just give it ten more minutes..." and an hour later I'd finally stop. It is a very basic dungeon grinder, similar to Dungeon Siege and Diablo but with none of the depth or polish they have. But it's easy to play, and requires little effort on behalf of the player.

I got the Vita version free as part of a bundle and I have to admit it is the poor cousin to it's siblings. The graphics have taken a step backwards, becoming very muddy, compared to the PS3 version and it suffers from slow down during busy sections. And for some reason it has very long loading times which, consider the end result, are a bit of a puzzle. Considering the Vita is currently the most powerful hand held available (eclipsing even the new iPad) and it can cope with PS3 assets directly I found it a little sad that Gameloft have apparently put no effort into this version.

As such, at the current price, I can't recommend this game at all. Unless you are desperate for some dungeon grinding I'd would give this a miss and buy Super Stardust (amazingly good fun and very pretty but download only) or Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PS Vita) (how Vita games should be done) instead.
