Just to put this review into some context i like a range of electronic music from gary numan to tangerine dream, (kitaro,bt, rick wakeman, depeche mode, jarre, oldfield, leftfield, brian eno, etc,.) Klaus Schulze at his best is excellent (probably Timewind, Live in Poland). This album however like a lot of his stuff has potential but just doesn't end up getting on my playlist other then let's give that one another go, maybe it will grow on me! The first half is a series of wanderings with a violin/cello coming in or out, no layer of beat/pulse. At times you think it could go somewhere now! But alas it doesn't. The second half is better and has a nice bassline gently pulsing in and out , the violin/cello is there again, but really seesm to work this time. What kills it for me is the layer of vocals, well actually halfway between spoken word and an attempt to harmonise with the music. It just doesn't work, at breaks in this style there are flashes of keyboard melody and if only he had gone with this instead of the vocals it could have been an really good piece.
